14.01.16 - EU Sustainable Energy Awards
The EU Sustainable Energy Awards recognise outstanding innovation in energy efficiency and renewables.
Nominees are chosen from a shortlist of the year’s most successful projects for clean, secure and efficient energy.
With prizes from an expert jury and European Citizens, the Awards highlight new ways to shape Europe’s energy future.
The Awards ceremony takes place in June 2016, at the EU Sustainable Energy Week Policy Conference. After the ceremony, the winners and runners up can discuss their ideas with Conference participants at a networking cocktail. The nominees will also present their projects at the Conference’s Networking Village.
The 2016 Awards ceremony will be hosted in the European Commission’s Charlemagne building in Brussels.
Anyone in the EU can submit a recent project – from a local initiative to an industry-wide programme – that could help citizens, industry and the public sector work towards the Energy Union. Last year, hundreds of contenders submitted projects, from which nine final nominees were chosen and three winners.
