The Gum Litter Taskforce (GLT) campaign aims to increase awareness of the chewing gum litter issue by influencing a positive behavioural change around gum litter disposal and stronger enforcement of the €150 fine.

The GLT want to reward towns and villages that make that extra special effort to eliminate gum litter.

There is a total prize fund of €5,000 for this Special Award. €2,000 will be awarded to the winners of the  village and small town category, another €2,000 will be awarded for the large town and urban centre category winners with an extra €1,000 to be awarded to the overall winners.
